How to Activate a Westpac Debit or Credit Card
- Using the Westpac Mobile App: Open the app, use the “Activate card” option (you might need to search for “Activate card”). Enter your card number, tap Activate, and optionally set your PIN.
- Using Online Banking (Desktop or Web): Log in, go to Services or Card Services, choose “Activate physical card,” enter your card details and activate. You may also set your PIN if required.
- By Phone: Call Westpac on 1300 308 930 to activate your card with help from customer service.
- For Business Cards: If it’s a business debit or credit card, you may need to switch to your personal profile in Westpac’s app or online banking before activating.
What You’ll Need to Activate
- Your card’s number and expiry date.
- Your Westpac customer ID and online banking password or app credentials.
- If setting a PIN, have your chosen PIN ready.
