A trust account is a bank account that provides the ability to manage the account and the funds in it on behalf of third parties.

For whom will a trust account in a bank be relevant?

The Commonwealth Bank trust account was developed for mortgage agents, lawyers, auctioneers, and other subjects of economic activity who need to manage funds on behalf of their clients.

CBA provides the trust account on the following terms:

  • 5 AUD - monthly servicing fee

3 AUD - per written cheque

  • 3 AUD - per deposit over the counter
  • 3 AUD - per withdrawal over the counter or in the Australia Post office
  • other banking commissions can be applied
