Depositing coins into your Commonwealth Bank account is easy thanks to coin deposit ATMs available at selected branches. These machines are designed to accept coins quickly and securely without the need to visit a teller. Here’s how to complete a coin deposit step-by-step.

Find a Coin Deposit Machine

To begin, visit the official CommBank branch locator to find a nearby ATM that supports coin deposits. Not all ATMs offer this feature, so checking in advance is recommended.

Steps to Deposit Coins

  1. Insert your CommBank debit card into the coin ATM.
  2. Select Deposit on the screen.
  3. Choose the Coins option and tap Continue.
  4. Select the account you want to deposit into: savings, cheque, credit, or any linked account.
  5. Insert your coins — you can deposit up to 200 coins per transaction.
  6. Wait for the machine to count your coins and confirm the amount on the screen.
  7. Tap Confirm and print the receipt for your records.

Important Notes

  • Only Australian coins are accepted in Commonwealth Bank coin ATMs.
  • Deposits are processed immediately and reflected in your account balance.
  • You can make multiple deposits if you exceed the 200-coin limit per transaction.

For a fast and convenient way to deposit coins without queuing at the counter, use a CommBank coin ATM where available.
