How to Set Up Google Pay with Westpac
- Ensure Your Device is Compatible: Your Android device must be running Android 5.0 (Lollipop) or higher and support Near Field Communication (NFC) and Host Card Emulation (HCE) technology. These features are essential for in-store transactions using Google Pay.
- Download Google Pay: Install the Google Pay app from the Google Play Store.
- Add Your Westpac Card: Open the Google Pay app and follow the prompts to add your eligible Westpac debit or credit card. Ensure that the name you enter matches exactly as it appears on your physical card or in the Westpac App.
- Verify Your Card: For added security, your mobile phone must be registered for SMS Protect to verify the cards you add.
