If you're a Westpac customer, you can utilize the Osko payment service for fast and secure transactions. Here's what you need to know:

What is Osko?

Osko is a 24/7 real-time payment service built on the New Payments Platform (NPP). It enables you to make instant payments to participating banks using a BSB and account number or PayID. When making or receiving an Osko payment, you'll see the transaction appear as "Osko" or display the Osko logo. There are no fees for setting up or using Osko or PayID services.

Transaction Limits

Osko payments are subject to your available funds and are included within your Online Banking Daily Payment Limit. The default Daily Payment Limit is $750 per day for customers aged 14 years or over. If you're under 14 years old, the default Daily Payment Limit is $50 per day. You can manage your Daily Payment Limit in Online Banking or the Westpac App. Note that increasing your limit may require additional security measures, such as registering for Westpac Protect™ Security Code or obtaining a SecurID® token.

How to Make an Osko Payment

To make an Osko payment:

  1. Log in to your Westpac Online Banking or the Westpac App.
  2. Navigate to the payment section and select "Pay someone" or "Make a payment".
  3. Enter the recipient's BSB and account number or PayID.
  4. Enter the payment amount and any required details.
  5. Review the payment details and confirm the transaction.

If you're paying to a PayID, the recipient's name will be displayed before you confirm the payment, helping you ensure the payment is going to the correct person.

Security and Support

Osko payments are designed with security in mind. However, it's important to remain vigilant against scams. If you receive a suspicious message or suspect fraudulent activity, you should promptly report it to Westpac's fraud department. For assistance with setting up or using Osko, or if you have any concerns, contact Westpac customer service at 1300 655 505 (available 8am–8pm, Mon–Sun, Sydney time).
