Westpac Share Trading Fees — Westpac offers competitive brokerage rates for Australian share trading, with varying fees based on the type of account used and the value of the trade. Below is an overview of the current fees associated with Australian shares and exchange-traded options.

Australian Shares

  • Westpac Cash Investment Account or Westpac Online Investment Loan:
    • $4.95 for trades up to $1,000
    • $9.95 for trades over $1,000 up to $3,000
    • $19.95 for trades over $3,000 up to $10,000
    • $29.95 for trades over $10,000 up to $28,000
    • 0.11% of trade value for trades over $28,000
  • Other Bank Accounts: $29.95 or 0.29% of trade value, whichever is greater

Exchange-Traded Options

  • Westpac Cash Investment Account: $38.95 or 0.35% of trade value, whichever is greater
  • Other Bank Accounts: $43.95 or 0.44% of trade value, whichever is greater

Additional Fees

  • Issuer-Sponsored Sales: $15 per trade in addition to brokerage
  • Ad hoc Confirmation Request: $5
  • Confirmation Postal Fee: $2 per confirmation
  • Early Settlement Fee: Minimum $50
